                                                          Background

AUDACITY VOLUNTEER UGANDA(Save Children) (AVUSC) began in 2010 as an initiative to support children (orphans), neglected streetkids with HIV AIDS, refugees and people with disabilities in kabumbi village in the Wakiso and silimula kiboga district in Uganda.  The program is also known as Mother Care Foundation(MCF) due to the emphasis on involving people outside the agency in the work, began with 7 children orphaned in the Nansana Community, left alone with no support from an adult,  Seeing their suffering, a small community based organization was set up to by six community volunteers to help these children survive: Mr. Kigundu Stuart, Mr. Segawa Ephrime, Mr. Soona Josh, Mrs, Ssekiziyivu Beatrice, Mr. Mukazi Dan and Mr,JJagwe Patrick, Mr, Sali JOHN,Mr. Sekiziyivu Samuel.

A MOTHER LEES Outreach was set up to provide education and needs to such children in the community,  Supplies such as school uniforms, books, pencils and pens, as well as school fees were paid for by community volunteers.  As time went on, more and more children were left orphaned, as HIV/AIDS claimed countless lives in Uganda.  The need to provide care and support to orphans became greater and edible as the number of orphaned children grew by day, susceptible to social economic hardships, due to loss of parents, illness in the home, homelessness, displacement and often involuntary neglect. These conditions have contributed to vulnerability of children who lose out on care and protection, fail to access their basic child Rights including Food and Nutrition, healthcare, education, social protection ,clothing and bedding hence on streets and Out Casts as the need to survive at tender stage of range 2 to 14. Insecure environment, many children experience trauma and need psychological rehabilitation, NOTE, Everybody is responsible for the welfare of the world children..

50% of the 350 children are currently educated as well as provided with a home and their basic needs.  They receive food, a home, education healthcare support and emotional support from their 'extended family'.  Some of our students attend their school in the schools around the community, colleges/Universities, either live with one or both parents in the community, or have been placed with guardians in the surrounding environs through the efforts of Mother Care Foundation/ Audacity volunteers Uganda Save children
(AVUSC)

Beginning in 2010, friends from the England, Canada, United States, Asian and the African countries came as volunteers to the Center   to support the children with school Fees and others, work with the children, and help grow the organization.  At present, steady stream of international volunteers find their way to AVUSC and help care for, educate, and support the orphans and vulnerable boys and girls at the Center. NOTE these children a high working attitude, so they need supporters, helpers to lift with the burdens.

The (AVUSC) program currently educates children from the Nursery level ,primary ,high school up to the university level with a near term goal of Buying Land for school, Hospital, Orphanage and high school construction, for the first level that’s Nursery and Primary  level in order to continue to provide a formal high quality education for their children plus dual education , to reduce the costs on fees and to create a skillful childhood .   An additional intention of an Orphanage   Center and a high school for the graduating Primary 7 students and other teenagers within the program's care continue their education university to the   and move that much closer to a promising, independent life.

One Dollar a day gives a child at AVUSC the resources needed to get adequate care and an education

Many children in Uganda have been orphaned as a result of the country’s HIV/AIDS epidemic and war and now as a result many orphans are  living alone or with one of their extended family; this means that in every family there is an orphan living with them.  Some of these children are living on the streets of Kampala and other towns with no access to education, health care, shelter and feeding. As a result, many find their way into crime.
